Meg Hitchcock was born in Springfield, Vermont. She studied painting in Florence, Italy
at the Cecil-Graves Studio, and received her BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art
Institute. Her background in evangelical Christianity, as well as her ongoing interest in
Eastern spiritual practices, inform her work. She has lived and worked in New York City
since 2006.
